Sometimes, it is necessary to clean the mail queue of exim. It is not very tough thing to to. Use the following steps to do the same:

  1. Login to WHM as root
  2. Click Mail Queue Manager from Email section of left side menu
  3. You will get a new page in right frame. Click Delete all messages in Queue. Confirm the same from confirmation window that comes. It will delete all mails in queue.
  4. You may delete one by one too. On the same page, you will see list of all mails queued. Click corresponding Delete link to delete the email.

If you don’t have cPanel, you may also clean from shell.

  1. SSH to server as root
  2. run the following command:

exim -qff
