Using Webmail in cPanel control panel

Webmail stands for web-based e-mail and is an application that allows you to check your e-mail via your web browser, without an e-mail client (Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Netscape, etc.) Its greatest advantage is the ability to access your e-mail from any computer, connected to Internet, since you do not need any additional software to check your e-mail when using Webmail.

With the cPanel control panel, webmail can be accessed not only after logging into the cPanel for the web hosting account, but also via the following direct links:

http://your-domain.com/webmail

http://your-domain.com:2095/

https://your-domain.com:2096/

To login into the webmail, you will have to use the full e-mail address as username, and its corresponding password.

cPanel users can choose from three types of webmail clients: RoundCube, Horde and SquirrelMail. You can choose to use any of these three depending on your own look and feel preferences, as they have different interfaces and options. Auto-login can also be enabled via the cPanel -> Mail -> Webmail menu. In there, click on the “Enable AutoLoad” link below the webmail client of your choice:

All three webmail clients are based on the IMAP protocol, thus allowing you to read your e-mail directly from the server without downloading the whole message to your computer, and without removing the message from your mail box, unless you delete it yourself.
